With the MEDLFW podoscope, changes in the skin of the feet and the foot itself can be easily documented through photos and videos. Podiatrists use a variety of tools, such as mirrors or foot scanners, but increasingly rely on the state-of-the-art Dino-Lite PodoScope. This allows early detection of microangiopathy, which helps to prevent the development of diabetic neuropathy.

The images and videos taken can be easily stored directly in the patient's medical record, ensuring an accurate and clear record of changes in the feet.

Podiatrists and the Dino-Lite PodoScope

A podiatrist is a medical specialist specialising in the diagnosis and treatment of foot and ankle disorders. His care is also sought by patients with conditions such as diabetes or rheumatism. Improper foot function can also lead to knee or back problems, which is why podiatrists use a variety of diagnostic tools - from conventional mirrors and foot scanners to modern devices such as the Dino-Lite PodoScope.

PodoScope allows podiatrists to detect even subtle changes in the skin and foot and detect early signs of microangiopathy, for example, at an early stage. Thanks to the photography and video recording function, the examination can be easily documented and the images stored in the patient's medical record. The image is displayed in real time on a laptop, desktop or Windows tablet monitor.

The device is equipped with eight bright LEDs, so there is no need to use an external light source. Power is supplied via a USB port, ensuring that the PodoScope is always ready to use and is not dependent on batteries. The rugged composite housing ensures high durability for daily deployment in the field.

A polarizing filter is included as standard to eliminate unwanted glare on the skin and ensure the highest quality recordings. The PodoScope comes with dedicated software compatible with both Windows and macOS.

The Dino-Lite PodoScope is certified according to the Medical Devices Regulation (EU) 2017/745.
