The QUICK 492GXA is a device designed to verify ESD wristbands and antistatic footwear before entering EPA-protected areas. It allows for individual testing (separately: wristband, one foot, or both feet) as well as combined testing (wrist strap + both feet simultaneously). Integration with an access control system can block entry if the test fails, thereby ensuring compliance with ESD procedures. This model can be connected to a PC via RS485 for data logging.
Key Features:
- Two test modes: Individual and combined
- Access control integration: Stable signal output to door systems (pass/fail)
- Measurement accuracy: ±10% for wristbands and antistatic footwear
- Footwear testing range: 100 kOhm–1 GOhm
- Various methods for indicating pass/fail results
- Compact design: Easy installation at entrances to EPA areas
Applications:
- Can be integrated into a turnstile or gate
- Electronics assembly lines and EPA production areas
- Electronics research and development laboratories and service centers
- Educational workshops and training facilities with electrostatic discharge protection (ESD)
- Entry points to rooms and service areas with antistatic protection
Frequently Asked Questions:
Can the device be connected to a computer?
YES, the 492GXA model includes an RS485 interface for recording data from a computer.
Can an employee RFID card reader be connected upstream of the tester?
YES, we can connect your RFID reader upstream of the tester. The access data is then sent to your internal time-and-attendance system. Please contact us for a quote.
What types of protective equipment can it test?
Wristbands resistant to electrostatic discharge and antistatic footwear in the range of 100 kOhm – 1 GOhm.
Can the tester block entry to EPA areas?
Yes, via an output signal sent to the access control system.
